I've had a lot of spare time on my hands this past week. First, thanks Irene for blowing around and knocking out power and Internet. Really appreciated that, though I'm very grateful that was the worst of it. Where I used to live got hit hard, and I can't believe what happened down in Virginia and the Carolinas. I hear there's another storm with potential to hit the East Coast again (Katia) so we'll have to keep an eye on that storm as well. Hopefully it will die out long before it gets here. Next, my boyfriend is on vacation this week with his family, so I don't really get to talk to him and he hasn’t been here to visit me. I've been lucky that he hasn't been working and was able to visit me once a week all summer! It just makes not seeing him for three weeks straight a lot harder though. He also starts work in a few weeks so that's going to cut in on our time together even more. Anyone who ever said long distance relationships were easy doesn't know what they are talking about. I can't wait until we don't have to do the long distance thing anymore!
Anyway, between these two things, I haven't had a whole lot going on. That gives me time to think, time that I really didn't need. I've freaked out more times that I can count lately (heck I changed my whole blog around!) and I've been trying to make some changes every day. My goal is to have everything all set and changed over by next week. I'm making some real progress! All of the posts are password protected (I had to password protect each post I moved over) and I've started back at the beginning changing the names to the new nicknames and putting up some of the links. It's going to take me a while as there are 200+ posts to go through, but I'm having fun going through some things.
The good news is, making these changes is giving me something to do. Plus, it's a good opportunity for me to go back and see where some of my opinions might have changed. I've been blogging for less than a year, but I don't recognize the girl in some of those posts. I can't believe how much I've changed over the past year. I started blogging in January (well, actually I started blogging in November but didn't actually create a blog until January) and I've learned so much since then. It has me wondering how much I'll continue to learn in the future.
