I have fun with Paint |
I never knew how hard it was to come up with a picture per blog post. I think it would be easier if I wasn't blogging every day, but I am very committed to blogging once a day so c'est la vie. Some posts are really easy, while others are much harder. I blog about a lot of abstracts, so it becomes challenging at times to come up with an idea for a concrete picture. I've been having some fun lately coming up with some random pictures. It doesn't always work, but sometimes I think it does in a weird way...
Then there's the whole copyright thing. You can't post pictures that aren't yours unless you get permission and give credit. I used to be very much into art, so I like creating my own pictures. But that's very time consuming and each entry takes a lot of time in itself. Between my job, helping out at home, and the rest of my life, I only have so much time to sit and draw something in paint. I'm really really trying to make an effort though. I find it amusing at times. Clearly I'm no professional, but I don't handle being bored well.
It's funny but I'm learning how to stay connected. I'm on Twitter, I'm reading more blogs than ever, and I'm trying to get people to Guest Blog (any more takers?). I'm working on some other cool stuff (possible video posts if I can come up with a decent enough topic) and trying to improve my other pages (I do have a few more I'm working on that will be added soon!). I recently added pictures to Read Me First and My Adoption Story. I'm also going to start posting pictures on Sundays! Exciting right? In other news, I'm going to try for another standard post, Quotable Wednesdays. I'll explain more Wednesday, but it will feature...you guessed it, quotes! Can't you tell I'm running out of ideas?
So yeah, this is pretty much a pointless post where I try to figure out if people actually like the pictures and links or I need to stop having fun adding links and drawing bad pictures in Paint. Hmmm…. Your thoughts?
