As I’m starting to run out of blog ideas, I came across a site that offers a new topic every day to blog about. That makes me one happy blogger right about now! At least until some adoption goodness strikes me.
Am I too busy or too lazy lately to get things done? I’m sure my regular readers have noticed that the girl who used to pride herself in posting everyday isn’t quite up to speed these days. So this was the first topic that really jumped out at me.
I can be very lazy at times. There are times when I just want to curl up on the couch and watch TV. And I’ve done that a few times the past few weeks. So that’s lazy. I’ve also picked things up that need to get done and put them down and gone to do other things like practice the piano or to hunt around online. So that’s lazy too.
I’m also pretty busy. I’ve been taking care of my adoptive mom, which is a huge time commitment. For anyone who thinks that giving rides isn’t a big deal, don’t make my mistake and think that it’s just the driving time. By the time we park, walk down to her appointment, wait for the appointment (which sometimes takes an hour) and then wait for her to be done, go back up, wait for the car which is valeted (parking is so nuts we don’t really have a choice) and then drive back home. So it’s kind of a time suck. Then there’s the whole taking care of the house type of things that I get to do. I give people who do this a lot more credit than I ever did before.
I’ve decided that I need to cut myself a break. I’m lazy, but I’d say I’m more than busy too. So I’m going to consider myself 80% busy and 20% lazy. I’d say that’s a pretty good ratio. What’s your ratio?
Don't feel guilty for blogging less often.. you're a real person that lives a life of screen too, a life that might not be revolved around blogging. That's ok ! Anyways it's summer so you're allowed to feel lazy and do whatever you want. (couldn't find an appropriate word other than allow).
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that sometimes I feel like I don't have anything to say that matters. ::hugs:: Definitely cut yourself some slack and enjoy your busy-ness!
ReplyDeleteWe all need time out, not lazy just recuperating!Von
