Blogging

I don't want to post twice in one day, but I just wanted to put this out there.

I have to be 100% honest.  It took me a long time to decide to blog.  This is really personal stuff.  It’s me and some of my hardest moments out there for people to read about.  If it was just strangers, then I wouldn’t care as much.  Comfort of strangers and all.  But the fact that some of my friends and family could be reading this is a bit more intense.

Before I started, I read that it’s best to have a month’s worth of blog entries ready to go before you start blogging.  Something about being prepared.  My job has some slow downs so I started putting things together on my down time.  I’m a fast typer so they don’t take me too long to write.  I just started writing and pretty soon I had fifteen files saved on my computer.  Most of these were broken up into two blog posts.  Some of them had to be left together (as witnessed in the longer posts).

I still wasn’t sure when or even if I would put them out there.  Just the process of writing them helped me to feel better about things, and it helped me to process.  Also, I know that if I don’t get this stuff down on paper, I’m not going to remember.  I have a horrible memory….

What changed for me is that I really started to read other blogs.  I really started to hear what other people were saying, and it helped me so much.  I figured that if they could have that courage, than so could I.  I could do it to, and maybe my story would help someone else.  I know there are a lot of blogs out there that focus on this topic, but I had to add my voice.  It may not make a lot of sense, but somehow it did to me.

I have a months worth of blog postings already set up to post automatically.  If there are two posts in one day, it means that I feel like I need to add something right away and it can't wait at the end of the queue.  So I apologize if things seems a bit off at times.  I'm just trying to play catch up!
